Director/Creator
Lennon Cooper
A TV/Film director, producer, cinematographer and editor with over 20 years experience in broadcast TV, Lennon has travelled the world covering the biggest sporting events on earth like NBA Finals, US Open, FIFA World cup and much more.
He has worked with countless talent including LeBron James, John Travolta, Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant, Lionel Messi and more.
But his real passion though is sports cards.
Like many collectors he was hooked as a kid in the 'junk wax era' of the early 90s, but got rid of his collection when it was time to 'grow up'. With the imminent of arrival of his first son, Kobe, he thought it would be nice to get some NBA cards of Kobe Bryant to commemorate the occasion. That one fateful day in Sports Card World, has lead to a decade long obsession with collecting.
When local hooper, Joe Ingles made the NBA, Lennon thought his stint may not be long and he may have a chance at chasing all of his cards (less than 40 cards in his rookie year).
Now, many, many, many years later, he is the #1 Joe Ingles card collector in the world with over 1000+ Ingles cards including over fifty 1/1's.
This passion lead him to create the incredibly popular ESPN Film, Cardboard Addicts (which can currently be seen on Kayo). It was a natural progression to take the heart of that film and create a TV series about all things collecting in Australia, which is now Cards & Collectables Australia.
There is no-one in the TV industry better-equipped to tell the stories of passionate collectors and their collection than someone who understands it from experience.

Executive Producer
Matt Maloney
Matt has been a passionate card collector for almost 40 years. He collected anything Footy and Cricket in the 80’s and started collecting NBA cards in the early 90’s. He is an avid Chicago Bulls fan and a super collector of Scottie Pippen NBA cards. In his collecting, he has amassed over 2500 different Pippen cards and has one of the best collections in the world.

Matt is also passionate Adelaide Crows supporter and collectors all cards of his all-time favourite player Tony Modra and Premiership related Crows cards.
​
Matt has worked at Sports Card World since the day the shop opened in April 1994. Starting part time after school, then full time and is now the proud owner along with Ben who he has known since kindergarten.
​
Working in the industry, Matt has had wonderful opportunities to travel to America to enhance his hobby knowledge and has been lucky enough to attend fifteen National Sports Collectors Conventions. Being a lover of sport, Matt has attended many sporting events around world the including NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, EPL and was lucky enough to attend the Monaco Grand Prix in 2024.

Cards & Collectables Australia is Matt's first foray into television and has taken to the role of executive producer incredibly well bringing amazing content ideas and a network of collectors that will raise the quality of the show to a level not possible without his input. His knowledge of the hobby brings an authenticity and accuracy rarely seen in other collectables TV series and been an invaluable addition to the production team.
Executive Producer
Ben Murphy
Ben has been a keen card collector for 40 years who has collected footy, cricket and Film/TV cards in the 80’s before starting to chase NBA cards in the early 90’s.

Ben is a massive Seattle SuperSonics (now OKC Thunder) fan and started collecting Shawn Kemp many years ago. His collection includes some of Kemps rarest cards including the 1997 Metal Universe, Red Precious Metal Gem. These days, Ben's Shawn Kemp collection is nearing 2000 different cards.

in the 90's, Ben astarted to collect Magic The Gathering cards and has a large collection of rare sealed product, and single cards including the super rare, “The Power Nine”

Ben also has a nice collection of Hawthorn Footy Cards including his favourite player Jason Dunstall.

Ben has traveled to the USA on many occasions attending the National Sports Collection Convention and Gen Con which has helped enhance his knowledge of collecting.

Ben brings a wealth of experience in the TCG and non-sport collectables space to the show which enables us to broaden our collectors stories and tell stories authentically that without simply wouldn't be possible him.​​​
